One of our favorites (that just happens to also be a NAPPA award winner) is Over in the Meadow.

| Adorable fact: Reed's daughter's sing back-up! |
As we joined the chorus along with Susan Reed (classical violinist, folk musician, singer, and storyteller) during her catchy rendition of this traditional English song, we learned all about the many creatures who live there:
Over in the meadow in a sly little den,
Lived a hairy mother spider and her little spiders ten.
"Spin!" said the mother;
"We spin!" said the ten.
So they spun lacy webs in their sly little den.
What follows this beautiful song are informative end notes for learning (something you'll find in many of their storybooks too.) We also appreciate that several of their items often have companion pieces available, in this case, a matching puzzle which is another activity families can enjoy.
